Cody Dean

Set: Cody discusses nervousness about performing, sees a homeless man asking for money outside the venue, and attempts to connect it to family history of body image issues. Set is disjointed and bombing, which he acknowledges mid-performance.

Interview: Tony and panel establish this is Cody's first time ever on stage. He's 23, solders wires to circuit boards, has a girlfriend in Michigan he sees once a month, lives in a studio apartment in Madison, and is very close with his parents.

Jim Sharkey

Set: Jim discusses using olive oil as anal lubricant, his unhealthy lifestyle despite having a personal trainer wife, and how cardio makes him want to kill himself. Self-deprecating material about being a big nerd and his physical appearance.

Interview: Jim has done stand-up a couple times before. Married 3 years total 6 years together. Wife is a baker. Jim is a retired chef who worked 18 years, now a meat cutter at a grocery store. Has 2 kids (3-year-old daughter, 6-month-old son). Does amphetamines.

Bits:
  • Can use olive oil as anal lubricant but need darkness for balsamic fear
  • Cardio makes him want to kill himself so it won't help him live longer

Seth Raven

Set: Seth does material about being Jewish and circumcision, creates a game called 'Porn Olympics' where different countries compete based on time to orgasm (Sweden bronze, US silver, Asian countries gold). Makes joke about foreskin and childhood distractions.

Interview: Seth has been doing stand-up for 2 years. Works as production assistant at television station, works 3am-noon weekdays. Is on autism spectrum (diagnosed at bottom, barely qualifies). Only eats gas station and Taco Bell food. Never had full sex, touched a girl's pubic area over pants.

Bennett Brown

Set: Bennett discusses growing up Catholic with nun's metaphor about premarital sex using an Oreo cookie analogy. Makes jokes about the metaphor's flaws, including that girls wash out their genitals and that the taste isn't the point during sex.

Interview: Bennett is 25, works for a software company in customer support. Does stand-up for 3+ years. No girlfriend (last one a year ago). Taught Sunday school in high school. Is half-circumcised due to circumcision error. Published short story in 4th grade.

Trevor Cook

Set: Trevor discusses March being worst month of life: girlfriend left him, best friend kicked him out, lost part of thumb, ex-wife is pregnant. Makes jokes about looking like Bobby Hill/grown Tommy Pickles and people saying he looks like a school shooter.

Interview: Trevor is in Army (5 years), deployed to Kuwait/Iraq 2016. Witnessed soldier die in car accident, attempted CPR/EMT but too much blood. Dated girlfriend 7 months (broke up same day best friend kicked him out). She weighed ~200 lbs. Ex-wife weighs ~300 lbs. Recently moved back in with parents in basement.

  • March was worst month: girlfriend left, best friend kicked him out, lost thumb

  • Trevor describes witnessing fellow soldier's death in car accident during deployment

Brad Kamieciay

Set: Brad opens with controversial take that some races aren't as good as others, immediately pivots to Kentucky Derby. Makes joke about helping transgender friend move couch and her saying 'I was born ready.' Very short set, appears to end abruptly.

Interview: Brad is 31, first-time performing, from Milwaukee. Has been a machinist for 15 years, makes metal parts, no union. Drinks a lot of beer. Does bow hunting, hunts white-tailed deer. Has girlfriend 9 months, met on Tinder after friends introduced them, hooked up immediately.

Bits:
  • Some races not as good as others (pivots to Kentucky Derby)
Moments:
  • Brad tells story about trip to Milwaukee show and decides to come back to Madison

Andy Wygman

Set: Andy opens with 'whoa' catch phrase. Makes joke about premature ejaculation timing with nephew's birth (happened early). References not wiping own ass or changing diapers because poop is gross. Red Band responds negatively to material.

Interview: Andy is 36, first-time performing, looks like Tom Segura. Dental technician 8 years, makes dental implants. Father works at hardware store. Has one fake front tooth from childhood inner tube accident. DJs wedding receptions. Does not break teeth jumping off inner tube.

Set: Craig is first Black comedian of night. Discusses going to tanning salons for refunds. Makes joke about friend with long hair donating to cancer patients, cut his afro but those facilities don't accept afro hair, now angry cancer patients looking for him.

Interview: Craig from Chicago South Side, moved to Madison at 20. Works in Deerfield building Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs). Freestyles/raps on stage. Rap name is 'Sincere Life' with Spotify albums. Has white girlfriend Samantha, met working at Vestiaire Collective (luxury resale site), married 2 weeks ago.

Bits:
  • Goes to tanning salons asking for refunds because he's Black
  • Friend donated hair to cancer but afro rejected, cancer patients angry

  • Craig freestyles/raps on stage, Tony encourages despite poor quality
