Kill Tony #270 — Byron Bowers

Set: Danny discusses lowering the WNBA hoop proportionally since women are smaller, comparing it to how they already use a smaller ball. A woman in the audience criticizes him for being degrading.

Interview: Tony discusses how Danny's set was too long and unfocused. Danny reveals he's from Toronto, visiting LA, and works in TV and film. He's a Canadian comedian with eight years of stand-up experience.

Set: Thuto performs a comedic observation about South Africa having more white people than the entire African continent, and delivers an African joke with conditional punchline based on audience comprehension.

Interview: Thuto reveals he's from South Africa, came to US for college in 2013, studied acting in New York, and moved to LA in 2014. He works as a valet at a Marriott Downtown, has driven McLarens and other expensive cars.

Set: Maddie discusses Texas culture of not expressing emotions, discovering tampons don't take virginity in high school, confusing weed and hookah, and general confusion about the world including gym etiquette versus sexual acts.

Interview: Maddie is from Dallas, been in LA for two years doing stand-up, studied communications at Loyola Marymount. She works as a stylist for Stitch Fix and has a boyfriend of four years who works at a talent agency.

Set: Lila jokes about loving baths despite not having a bathtub, making her a 'pocket f***' due to her small size. She discusses traveling to 20 countries and riding a baby camel with a mother camel chaperone in Morocco.

Interview: Lila discusses using self-deprecating humor about her size and insecurities. She has spina bifida, has had seven major back surgeries, and originally wanted to be a news anchor but pursued comedy instead.

Set: Jackson discusses his girlfriend wanting to reenact his favorite porn, but revealing it's cuckold porn which requires an extra penis. He jokes about his other porn preferences being incompatible or racist to reenact.

Interview: Jackson lives in Rancho Cucamonga, drives for his dad's shuttle company at Ontario Airport. He's 22, has only had one girlfriend, watches porn frequently, and admits to masturbating twice a day, providing extensive details.

Set: Malcolm performs a story about watching porn with his brother as a kid using a remote to switch to Nickelodeon when his mom came down. His mom mistakenly thinks he was watching Rugrats, then beats them for being 'hard' thinking he was aroused by the characters.

Interview: John is 29, works at Starbucks for 1.5 years after six years as a Navy submarine mechanic. He's Filipino-American, from the Philippines but raised in LA, doesn't do open mics much, and has a roommate named Joel.

Set: Yema performs 'Is it Racist?' game discussing whether statements are racist about Black people, Ethiopians, white people, and Chinese people. He jokes about Chinese being a 'super majority' with benefits of minorities without guilt.

Interview: Yema is Nigerian-Ebo, grew up in Palos Verdes suburb, works for Save the Children doing canvassing. Parents are lawyer (mom) and engineer (dad). He previously taught English in Nigeria, appeared on Kill Tony before in November 2016.
