Kill Tony #737 — Ian Bagg, Brian Holtzman

Set: Colt discussed his new apartment, political topics, missing when 'Antifa' was just his black friend's cool aunt, appreciation for gay bars and their heavy pours, and performed tricks with a yo-yo.

Interview: Tony asked about the pressure before the set and revealed he told Colt 'don't suck' backstage. They discussed his work at Sunset Strip Comedy Club, his professional yo-yo sponsorship, and the surprisingly complex setup of the Kill Tony table.

Set: Mike's set focused on transgender athletes in sports, identifying as a little person for wrestling, Disney's live-action Cinderella with Elliot Page, and Dylan Mulvaney as the fairy godmother.

Interview: Mike revealed he's been doing standup for about six years, started in Kansas City, works at Tapville Social, plays disc golf and video games, and demonstrated low energy about his personal life.

Set: Sarah's set included jokes about looking like someone who goes to the gym to poop, respecting Helen Keller and coining 'talk to the hand,' excitement about having a husband, and demonstrating a greeting where she tells her future husband to stop hitting her.

Interview: Tony revealed Sarah works directly for him Monday-Friday after he matched her salary from a job she didn't like. They discussed her being a good Christian girl, her recent dating experiences with men showing increased interest, and a date with a Mexican man who didn't respect boundaries.

Set: JJ's set was built around the joke that glasses are the best disguise, comparing his appearance with and without them (nerdy vs. Down syndrome-looking, history teacher vs. Arby's manager, Chick-fil-A manager vs. etc.).

Interview: JJ moved to Austin in April from Colorado Springs after five years of standup. He works at Dutch Bros coffee shop and can solve a Rubik's cube. He solved one live on stage in 119 seconds and received a golden ticket.

Set: Fern's set included a joke about his cousin with Down syndrome who caught gonorrhea (called 'slow clap'), treating pregnant women like dogs by rubbing their bellies, and two cats named Abyss and Meowwitz with dark humor.

Interview: Fern is from Paris, Texas and moved from Denver. He's been doing standup for four years, this was his second appearance. He works as a downtown high-rise window washer and was previously an iron worker. He fell out a two-story window at 15 months old.

Set: Stephen performed an absurdist set doing a Forest Gump impression, making jokes about being bullied and running, a crude joke about Jenny, claiming to have worked for Baton Rouge Police Department, and a joke about life being like a box of chocolates but with cash instead.

Interview: Stephen is 63 (turning 64 in May), retired from being a financial adviser, recently got paid to quit his job, and started doing comedy after watching Kill Tony. He's written two full books of material, trained two cats to do circus tricks, built a marble clock over six years, and plays drums.

Set: Tommie's set included jokes about being an amateur taxidermist killing cats, his wife's limited sexual interest (14 times in 14 years of marriage), always paying his bills and debts, and a controversial line about not reneging on bets that used a racial slur.

Interview: Tommie is 51 and has been married 14 years. He discussed how to keep things fresh in the bedroom, shared a position technique called 'the Tommy Tickle,' and promoted his Instagram where he shows his favorite organic lube product (coconut oil).

Set: Jermya celebrated four months of cocaine sobriety and made jokes about cocaine being gay because it involves intimate bonding between men in bathrooms, comparing it to opening a breakfast nook in Wisconsin.

Interview: Jermya is 34, four months sober from cocaine, moved from Florida (Polk County), and works customer relations for a telecommunications company and bartends at Shakespeare's. He has extensive face tattoos including an anchor, broken heart, and notably has his penis tattooed with a Shawn Michaels HBK logo.

Set: Hells Bells' first standup ever was about making awkward situations more awkward, specifically a story about a friend named Alex transitioning to Alexa and a waiter having difficulty with the name, then Hells Bells making it worse by asking 'don't you have the balls to use her name.'

Interview: Hells Bells is 51, dating a 41-year-old Latino man from San Antonio she met at a soccer game, works as a registered nurse in Fredericksburg, has a 20-year-old son, and was encouraged to do comedy by her boyfriend who's a Kill Tony fan.

Set: JP's set opened with a joke about bipolar depression, mentioned he's single and warned others to stay in relationships, made a dark joke about a girl offering herpes as commitment, and referenced being out in the wilderness with nothing but darkness.

Interview: JP discussed his depression and mental health, revealed he broke his leg and never got it properly fixed, works/worked as a mechanic, weighed 445.4 lbs on the show scale, lost his LA Fitness gym membership due to infection, had delusions during an illness, and doesn't have health insurance.

Set: Isaac's set included observations about walking down Sixth Street seeing exposed genitalia (compared to JFK's exit wound), observations about Austin being progressive with pink hair, jokes about a Down Syndrome Barbie doll (microwaving regular Barbie for 25 seconds gets same result), and references to Hot Wheels and Barbie.

Interview: Isaac is from Newcastle, Australia and has been doing standup for 11 years. He signed up for Kill Tony twice, with his first attempt being the previous week. He tours as a comedian and just arrived in Austin a week and a half ago.
